In the Public Law Insights series, we share some of our evaluations on our practice area of public law.

Abstract: Forest permits may be needed both in the exploration phase and in the operation phase of the mining activities. Leaving forests to mining activities must be done within the framework of high public interest assessment. On the other hand, for reasons such as the change of purpose or not being able to carry out the mining activity due to the cancellation of the EIA during the mining activities, refund or adjustment of the permit fees may come up on which high level disputes may arise.

Key Words: forest permits, mining licence, forest permit fees
